By accessing or using the Veremun API and related services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Veremun reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
You must provide accurate and complete registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and account credentials. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Services. Veremun reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
The Veremun API provides contractor license verification data sourced from publicly available state licensing boards. You may use the API for lawful business purposes including compliance verification, risk assessment, and contractor vetting. You may not use the API to:
API access is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Rate limits are enforced per API key on a monthly billing cycle. Exceeding your tier's rate limit may result in throttled responses or temporary suspension. See our Fair Use Policy for tier-specific limits.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Veremun may change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Failure to pay may result in service suspension. You are responsible for all applicable taxes.
Veremun aggregates data from official state licensing boards and public records. While we strive for accuracy, Veremun does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of any data returned by the API. Licensing data may change between the time of retrieval and the time of your query. You should independently verify critical licensing decisions and not rely solely on Veremun data for final determinations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Veremun shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services. Veremun's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may cancel your account through the account settings page. Veremun may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violation of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that harms the Services or other users. Upon termination, your API key will be deactivated and access to the Services will cease.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio.
